Hermes

Hermes was the Greek god of theives, messengers and travlers. His mother was Maia, and his father, (not surprisingly) was Zeus, the king god.
In one famous myth, not long after Hermes was born, he stole some of his half brother Apollo’s cattle. He even made the cows walk backward, so Apollo would think they were walking the opposite way than they actually were. However, Apollo was the god of prophecy and caught him. To get himself out of trouble, Hermes invented the lyre and gave it to Apollo, who just so happened to be the god of music as well.
