Lilith

The story of Lilith comes from Jewish fokelore. It is said that she was the first wife of the man Adam and was truely the first feminist.
Unlike Eve, who was made from Adam’s rib, Lilith, like Adam, was make from the dust of the earth. Being made from the same thing as Adam rather than from his body gives that she was equal to him.
When it came time for them to “know each other” is when they began to fight. Neither one of them wanted to be on the bottom, or as they said, submissive. Adam argued that he was her master, while Lilith said that they were both made from the same thing, so they were equal.
Eventually, Adam got Lilith angry enough that she ran away from him. Adam went to God and told him the Lilith ran, so God sent three angels to fetch her.
When the angels finally found her and asked her to go back to Adam, she refused, saying that she’d rather be punished than going back to him. After more agument between the angels and Lilith, it came to be that Lilith would be a demon from then on—preying on infants. However, 100 of Lilith’s children would die everyday.
Personally, I’ve always wondered how she was able to have 100 children a day in the first place… Unless of course they arn’t actually her “children”.
Anyway, if an infant wears an amulet with the three angels names around their neck, she won’t be able to harm them. This is because of an oath that Lilith made to the angels saying that if she saw one on a child, she wouldn’t do anything to them.
