Prometheus and Epimetheus

Prometheus in Greek mythology was a titan, who’s name literally meant foresight. His brother Epimetheus name meant after thought.
In some versions it says that Prometheus actually made humans and that Epimetheus made animals out of clay.
Either way, when life on Earth began, Epimetheus gave speed, agility, etc to animals, leaving humans to bite the dust. But Prometheus, being the nice guy he was, gave humans gifts. He gave them the ability to stand on two legs, like the gods, and he gave them the gift of fire. Also, he tricked Zeus into giving humans meat and the gods the bones and fat during sacrifices to the gods.
Zeus, being the irritable, egomaniac that he was, wasn’t too happy with Prometheus, and decided the punished both Prometheus and humans.
Zeus chained Prometheus to a rock, and everyday an eagle would come down and eat his liver. But since Prometheus was immortal, it would always grow back at the end of the day. So, he got to endor an eagle ripping out his liver every day for a really long time.
Before Prometheus had been chained, he told Epimetheus not to accept any gift from the gods. But of course when Zeus came with a lovely human being named Pandora, who was the first woman, Epimetheus didn’t think anything of his brother’s warning and accepted the gift.
Not long after, Zeus gave Epimetheus a beautiful box, who told him to give it to Pandora as a gift. There was only one condition, the box must not be opened. But when Pandora saw the box, curiosity overwhelmed her and she opened it.
As soon as she did, horrible things came out. Death, saddness, plague, etc. The only thing that didn’t leave the box was hope. And alas, Zeus punished the humans with all of these things.
