The BBC has released the first official image (see below) for its upcoming drama Burton and Taylor, which is set to air on BBC Four in the UK and BBC America in the US later this year.
A 90 minute one-off drama, Burton and Taylor is a biopic about Richard Burton and Liz Taylor which documents their ill-fated appearance in a 1983 revival of Noel Coward’s stage play, Private Lives. The drama was written by William Ivory. BBC Drama Productions are producing the one-off in association with BBC America, which stars Dominic West as Burton and Helena Bonham Carter as Taylor. William Hope (Marple) and newcomer Isabella Brazier-Jones also star. The drama is being directed by Richard Laxton.
